Waveney District Council – JGP Information

Since joining with JobsGoPublic in July 2005, we have received over 2000 applications for 155 job opportunities. Now, nearly 45% of all applications we receive are via JGP.

Over a third of all our successful applicants are from applications submitted through JGP.

JGP gave us the opportunity to broaden the audience for all of our adverts, giving us a national coverage instantly. Using this site has opened up our recruitment process to a vast group of people who we would normally miss out on.

The poweredby microsite (originally used as an advertisement for a previous high level vacancy) was altered to our specific requirements and now acts as our main selling point for our authority. It allows applicants to view all aspects of the job and the Waveney District in an instant, and also apply for the job they want right there and then.

Being on JGP not only saves time (We have saved approximately 900 hours in administration alone * ), but hugely reduces costs in admin, postage and application recovery times too. Since joining JGP we have reduced our recruitment advertising costs by approximately £27,000.
