Skills Framework Library
Many of our clients using the Skills Portal have chosen to share their experiences and good practice to support other public sector organisations attempting to select or develop relevant and meaningful skills frameworks to put at the centre of their Workforce Development Planning programmes.
The sharing of skills frameworks between organisations is creating new standards and enabling the exchange of workforce information to facilitate regional workforce planning, effective collaboration and shared service provision. JGP is pleased to provide a means for the exchange of this information in a simple and meaningful way.

Skills Frameworks are the sets of skills and competencies used to measure, understand and develop your organisation. These lie at the heart of the work we do in supporting organisations manage their talent using the Skills Portal, and creating them from scratch can be a big undertaking.
You can access the JGP Skills Framework Library online at tagadab.jgp.co.uk/skillsframeworks to browse more than 20 skills frameworks that have already been deployed in the public sector. There are frameworks for Managers, Administrators, Customer Service, Children’s Services, IT User Skills, Planning, Environmental Health and more...
Whether you choose to deploy any of the skills frameworks from the library, or use frameworks of your own, JGP can help. The Skills Portal is a web-based system enabling employees and managers to conduct their skills assessments online, and provides a secure and versatile means to analyse the results. Organisations are using the Skills Portal to support them in the areas of Skills Auditing and Workforce Development Planning, Training and Development, Redeployment, Succession Planning, Career Pathways and Performance and Appraisal.
